Guinea pigs are very cute. You love them, feed them and even provide them with a partner for them to play. Yet, if you are a responsible owner, you aren’t doing enough by doing this much. Because apart from all of this, you are even required to maintain the well being of your guinea pig and grooming it is essentially required for it. Here is a small guide on caring and grooming your guinea pig if you are doing it for the first time.
These knots are not great for its health and untangling them is of the utmost importance. If you don’t do it, then the knots will get tighter and then the only option remaining with you will be to cut them off and that will definitely ruin the look of your pig. You surely don’t want that and that is why, you will be required to brush it regularly to avoid knotting.
While cutting its hair, pay much of attention to the hair on its back and the hair near its anal opening. There are times when the hair in these places grows too long. Then the hair touches the ground and carries dirt and other filthy substances with it that makes your guinea pig prone to various infections. So, to avoid that, cut its hair in time.
